How well do Nootropics work for ADHD?

What will be the impact and effects of them on an ADHD person?

I took 200mg of modafinil daily for 5 years prior to my ADHD diagnosis (at which point i switched to 40mg methylphenidate). Modafinil significantly improved my quality of life during those years, albeit not as much as Ritalin did later.

I think a 200mg dose of phenylpiracetam was the only think I actually felt any sort of stimulation from. NAC might have a more subtle effect but personally I'm not sure it did anything specifically for ADHD.
