As a long-term Modafinil user, I've enjoyed numerous benefits from its usage. However, I've also encountered the need for excessive water consumption to counteract the dehydration resulting from Modafinil use, which has started to impact both my kidney function and psychological well-being.

Drinking a lot of water is healthy for your kidneys and prevents kidney stones. Am I missing something here?

I don’t think there’s anyway to stop the dehydration. I carry water with me all the time and sip throughout the day, I occasionally throw in some vitamin tablets like Nuun or I drink broth to make sure my electrolytes are okay and it seems to help. I get really bad dry mouth which is bad for oral health so I have artificial saliva for when it’s really bad (available at any drug store)

Your title is conflicting with the question you asked underneath. The title suggests you're trying to reduce water consumption, I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. As per the question underneath, drink more water to reduce dehydration. You can use something like Gatorade or Pedialyte to add electrolytes as well, just be aware of the sugar content.
