Concern regarding psilocybin

I'm trying to stay on topic for Nootropics, but I'm interested in your general opinion.

I use mushrooms occasionally—perhaps once every six months—and I always get the same results. I usually take only one to three grams, and while the ride up is always enjoyable, I'm particularly interested in the ride down.

I find that my "limitless" or "brain fog-clearing thinking occurs most often during my descent. I can sit down with my ideas and sort of work through big personal difficulties that I'm experiencing, and the answers kind of just make sense. I can also remember things from years ago, and in every way that I can measure, it feels like I'm working.
It's similar to days where you get 8 hours of sleep and exercise, with a dash of caffeine. Shit just seemingly all snaps together.

Unfortunately it wears off, i go to sleep and feel a little frizzled out the next day.

What exactly is happening here? Why is it so pronounced? To date its been the best ive ever felt mentally but lasts for just a few hours.

Keep in mind, based on the dose im not tripping my balls off so its not that my perception of whats going on is warped.

I would pay an unlimited amount of money to have a chance of functioning like that daily.

Sounds like you’d benefit from microdosing. Psilocybin and LSD have affinity for both serotonin and dopamine receptors, so it makes sense that they often improve cognitive function at times similar to amphetamine.

This is something I've also directly experienced - there's so much I want to say, but I keep getting caught up in a loop of re-writing and deleting it.

I highly recommend checking out the video I linked because it not only directly answers your questions but provides real practical advice on how one can implement techniques in their daily life to train their attention and achieve what you've described without having to rely on external catalysts like Psilocybin.
